This is what I wrote today in CBC commenting system:

I think Politicians owe people a good explanation of what a coalition government is ... and why in our parliamentary system it is legit and how the voters in Canada have the right to vote for a parliament and not ONE PRIME MINISTER …
and for future reference when people feel that all parties are just looking after their own values … a coalition may be a better choice ….

Harper lied and falsified as much as he could ... will anybody take the time to talk to people about what happened?

***

(As much as I love to see Harper on his way out I think) In general falling of coalition before it happens may not be that bad, Harper will not be able to control the economy in next few years as he is following a certain agenda which has not been 100% revealed … and the tar-sand/oil/mining companies have the strongest saying in them …

I think in a few years he will leave Canada with a huge deficit, with weaker social service system, way behind any possible environmental progress and with a lot of bills against rights of all minorities, women, labours, ... which could and should be revered later on … (Hope there won't be another war somewhere for him to jump in and join/support USA or Israel or Nato) Years of Wasted energy and money … If this is what people want … let it be.

***

I am originally from Middle east, where people still vote (if they get to vote) for the populists with faces shining with false righteousness …
What I see in Harper …
They passionately hate things that have been called sins in religion … they hate same sex marriage, freedom of abortion, feminism, … and it's enough for someone whom they think he will not fight all these ... they will reject him as a Politician..

What is that Canadians hate? ... Socialism?! I wonder.

They need years of practice to understand the true meaning of democracy ... how many years do Canadians need?

Our beloved PM, Harpers first report on economy had these proposals

Elimination of subsidies for political parties
A three-year ban on the right of civil servants to strike
Limits on the ability of women to sue for pay equity

which caused the final push on the coalition to take place ...

Nothing about the scattered economy ... Don't U love the basterd?
